Catch Moisture Before It Becomes a Defect
Excess moisture in plastic granules doesn't always show up right away. It can hide in the dryer, ride through the hopper, and only reveal itself later as splay, bubbles, or a part that fails in the field. By the time a lab sample catches it, the bad batch has already run.
Piovan's Moisture Minder reads moisture in the material stream in real time, with no sample to pull and no wait for lab results. Adams Engineers works with Piovan to bring this in-line sensor to processors who need to know what's happening in their material right now, not twenty minutes from now.
Two models cover most jobs. The M5 is built for after-drying PET, PETG, and PSU, reading 5 to 1,000 ppm at temperatures up to 200°C. The M100 handles a wider range of polymers, including ABS, PC, and PA, reading 100 to 5,000 ppm at temperatures up to 140°C. Both hold accuracy to ±15 ppm and come with calibration curves for common materials already loaded in.
