Overview:
Join our sales team at Adams Engineers & Equipment, Inc., a leader in the plastic processing equipment industry across TX, OK, AR, and LA. We are seeking an ambitious Inside Sales Engineer to support our field engineers by selling top-tier capital equipment. This role offers an excellent pathway to becoming a field-based Sales Engineer, making significant impacts by building relationships and leading projects to a successful completion. Your role will be deeply involved in polymer processing, tooling, robotic automation, pneumatic resin conveying, blending, process cooling, and recycling environments.
Location:
 - Jacksonville, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio
 - Type: Hybrid (Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM)
 - Travel: Required to manufacturing plants in TX, OK, AR, LA, and for OEM technical training
Responsibilities:
 - Support field engineers in the sales of capital equipment.
 - Transition to a field-based Sales Engineer to visit and build relations at manufacturing facilities.
 - Lead projects to successful technical and commercial conclusions.
Qualifications:
 - Degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering Technology, or a related Engineering field.
 - Understanding of manufacturing processes and organizational dynamics.
 - Proficient in learning and applying specifications of manufacturing equipment.
 - Excellent questioning skills for effective technical and situational discovery.
 - Strong active listening and communication skills.
 - Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Desired Skills:
 - Effective verbal and written communication.
 - Familiarity with industrial distribution and industrial engineering.
 - Experience with Salesforce.com and other technical skills.
 - Background in Polymer Science, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Desired Majors:
 - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technologies, or related fields.
 - Specific focus on Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, Multidisciplinary Engineering, Industrial Distribution & Supply Chain, or Interdisciplinary Engineering.
